M.A.C Brow Wax & Other Alternatives

Hello my fellow beauty fans. So recently I was out shopping with my cousins and we visited MAC. I picked up some brow powder, but passed on the brow wax since I had one by NYX at home. While at the MAC counter one of the makeup artist showed me how to quickly do my brows the right way. First apply brow wax in a swipe following brow and then the brow powder....a quick 1, 2 step. Unfortunately, I'd been sleeping on my NYX brow wax pencil (NYX brow shaper as they call it). I couldn't wait to try it. As soon as I got home I found my NYX brow shaper and got to work. It works just as well as the one by MAC. Anyone wanting to save a few bucks do check out the brow shaper by NYX. Comparing price, the MAC brow wax(16.00 @ MAC) is about twice as much as  the one by NYX (8.79 @ ULTA). The brow wax by NYX is much sturdier than MAC (which looks like it will break easily). Other brands that offer similar products as NYX and MAC are almost three times the cost (ie Anastasia Beverly Hills). I think some ABH brow products are over-rated. I bought the brow kit which came with highlighter, gel, cooling brightener, tweezer, stencils, double ended brush, brow powder, and something else that I can't remember or find. Everything in the kit was pretty great, but I was not a huge fan of the powder and I actually like the one from MAC better.

I hope this was some help for whom ever may be struggling in a decision to purchase brow wax. This is but a small portion of the options available out there. Be sure to check everything out and ask to try out products as well as take samples home when out shopping at your go to beauty shops.
